2 for the Road
And now it is time to see our own country.... After 15 months of traveling around the world, we arrived back to Atlanta, USA on December 31st, 2000. A few days later, we took 2 Go Global on the road and took a ride down to Florida to see Kelly’s parents in Naples where we enjoyed delicious meals, great card games and walks on the beach. We then drove north to our old home state of Michigan where we had a great time with friends and family. From Michigan, we headed east to the small town of Carbondale, Pennsylvania to see Rich’s aunts and uncles. We then went down to Annapolis to the Naval Academy to cheer for Rich’s cousin who was competing in a swim meet. We were very impressed with the Academy. After a few days of regrouping in Atlanta, we took 2 Go Global west to Dallas, Texas…and then went global again to GUATEMALA. We arrived back into Texas on March 5th and began our western USA odyssey. We had a fabulous time seeing the west and visiting friends and family. Please follow us as we travel through the west to: Dallas, Texas As you can see, we had a very aggressive schedule. When we were on the road, we (mainly Rich) drove around 12 hours per day. In the end we were covering so much distance in such little time that our American Express Card was denied by all of the gas stations because Amex believed that Thelma and Louis must have stolen our credit card. The goal of our USA road trip was to spend a little quality time with family and friends and to see the landscapes of our own country. Our USA road trip was also a very good way to ease back into normal life in the USA. So kick back and leave the driving to us. First stop in our western road trip: Texas.
