We flew into Guatemala City from Las Vegas on November 16, 1999.  We will return to Atlanta for the holidays on December 21, 1999.  We plan to travel through Central America during the time that we are here, including the countries of Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.  

From Guatemala City we traveled directly to Antigua (roughly an hour away) for our first night in this country.  Our photos from Guatemala will appear in the categories above, beginning with 2 Go Antigua followed by the beautiful Lago Atitlan and then on to study the lost Mayan city of Tikal and topping it off with the sweet Rio Dulce.

BUT WAIT...there's more!  We return to Guatemala a year later to study Spanish in Quetzaltenango, and we travel back to Lago Atitlan and Tikal with our friend Jodi.  See Guatemala 2001!
